DJTA Coaching Staff


Coach Aziz Rasool works as Advisor& Consultant for Aramco Recreation Services. He has a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Bahrain University& Master degree in coaching from USPTA (US). He starts coaching in Aramco from 2000. He is a member of USPTA, ITF, ATF and Bollettieri Academy. He is National Theory Course Conductor in Bahrain & Canada.
He is a lecturer for coaches and sport teachers, Asian and Bahraini Tennis Federations. He was Bahrain Head National coach. He was also a coach for GCC Tennis Team and Asia Junior Team in Wimbledon and coached at IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy plus he coached in Westside Tennis Club (Houston, TX) with John Wilkerson. He was rated as one of the best tennis coaches in Asia in 2000. He have allot of coaching experience all around world.
Head Pro Tennis Le Royal Meridian Hotel Resort, Head Pro in Bahrain Tennis club, Head Pro tennis (Diplomat Hotel- Lemirage Health Club), Head Pro Tennis in West Riffa Club, Health Club Manager and Head Pro in Al Bander Hotel and Resort.
He organize allot of International Tournaments (future ITF, Junior ITF, Asia 14&U Davis cup ,Bahrain open, Bahrain, etc)
He organize allot of tennis camps in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, US, Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, UK, Egypt ... etc


Coach Fouad Ali Ibrahim Al Abdullah has been coaching tennis for some 20 years. He coached Saudi Arabia national team for a number of years. Before that he was a player for Saudi Arabia national team 1978-1991. He was a owner of numerous championships and awards in his youth and adult tennis career. Other than teaching tennis coach Fouad also an active participant and speaker for tennis related workshops and conferences locally and internationally. He holds a bachelor's degree on physical education and master's degree on movement science.






Coach Fareh Al-Somali has a Diploma from Kuwait University. He was a member of the Saudi National team from 1992-2002. He was a winner of GCC Championship in 1995. He was a member of the Saudi Davis Cup team from 1993-2002. In 1993 and in 1995, the Saudi Davis Cup team was promoted to Group 2. He was the Captain of the Saudi Davis Cup team for 7 years. He is currently Saudi National Youth Tennis Team coach. He received a Level 1 ITF Coaching Cerificate in 2001. He is the captain of Al-Qadisiya Club Tennis team in al-Khobar. He has been a DJTA coach since 2005.






Coach Twafiq Ibrahim obtained a Bachelors Degree from Saudi University. He has 18 years experience as a tennis coach. He was a GCC Junior Champion in 1982. He was the Saudi National Junior Tennis team coach from 1999 to 2006. He received a Level 2 ITF Coaching Certificate. He was a member of the Saudi National Davis Cup Team promoted to Group 2 in 1993 and 1995. He has been a DJTA coach since 2006.






Coach Mario Ares has been a DJTA coach since 2000. As a junior player, he was ranked No.2 in Philippines. He attended Philippines Air Transport and Training College on a tennis scholarship.









Coach Rick Filipinas received a Bachelorís degree in Computer Science from San Beda College in the Philippines. He was active campaigner for junior national tournaments in Philippines from the age of 10 until he was in the 18&Under category. He was a Tennis scholar during his college days and a Tennis coach since 1998. He received a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Coaching Certificate in 2006 which was held in Dubai. He was a tennis coach at Bahrain Tennis club from 2005-2006 and has been with DJTA since 2007.
